Submissions are now open and will close on the 1st of September.
We accept submissions of opinion pieces, poetry, short stories, drawings, personal essays, photographs, as well as video and audio presentations.
We ask for non-exclusive, one-time, worldwide rights to publish your work in print and digital formats, and then the right to archive it indefinitely.
Published writers and artists will be compensated with payment at the below rates:
Poetry: £1 per line, up to 50 lines.
Short Stories: £0.10 per word, up to 1000 words.
Photographs: £30 per image.
Drawings: £30 per page.
Opinion Pieces: £0.10 per word, up to 1000 words.
Personal Essays: £0.10 per word, up to 1000 words.
Audio Presentations: £20 per minute, up to five minutes.
Video Presentations: £20 per minute, up to five minutes.
Letters To The Editor: £15
Payment will be made to you upon confirmation of selection for publication. This will be fifteen days after the submission closure date, listed above. Payment will be made by PayPal.
Video or audio submissions are only eligible to be submitted for online editions of our publication.

The publication of pieces are subject to editorial approval, and fees will only be paid for works published in either our online or print editions.
You will retain the rights to your work, and you may have the same work published by other publications. You do not have to grant our publication exclusive rights to publish, but it must be your own original work.
You may submit up to five pieces during the submission period.
Opinion pieces, short stories and personal essays have a word limit of 1000 words. Audio and visual presentations have a run time limit of 5 minutes.
All submissions should be sent by email to editor@restlessviolets.com with the subject “Submissions” and the type of work you are submitting. Please also include your work in the below listed formats and a short biography.
You can also include links to your social media accounts or website to be included alongside your work, if published.
Poetry, short stories, opinion pieces, personal essays and letters to the editor should be submitted as word documents.
Photographs and drawings should be submitted as JPEG or PNG files.
Audio presentations should be submitted as soundcloud links that are embeddable.
Video presentations should be submitted as YouTube or Vimeo links that are embeddable.
