Restless Violets

This is not the update we hoped to write. After a great deal of reflection, we have made the decision to close Restless Violets. Rising operational costs and ongoing budget pressures mean we can no longer produce the magazine at the standard our readers, contributors, and community deserve.

We want you to know that we did not arrive here without exhausting every avenue we could find to keep the magazine alive. Over the past several months we have explored alternative funding options ranging from grants and sponsorships to partnerships, collaborations and restructuring. We also spent time consulting with advisers inside and outside the publishing world. Unfortunately none of these routes provided the sustainable support required to continue publishing to the standard the magazine and its community deserve.

Although the magazine will no longer continue, our digital archive will remain available until 1 January 2026. You will be able to continue reading and downloading the issues you purchased up to that date.
