Unmasked is a strange, sapphic horror with an unsettling vibe that is almost addictive. Beautifully shot, the short tells the story of Sofia, who finds herself in a rut after a bad break up with her girlfriend and a spell of unemployment.
Sofia discovers a mask in an abandoned box, and her curiosity causes her to take it home. The mask gives Sofia relief, showing her visions of happier times, and the close connection that is missing from her lonely life, but soon, the mask’s true intentions for Sophia begin to show, and she is plunged into a chilling game of cat and mouse with her greatest dream, and her worst nightmare.
